Velixo login Issues

Velixo login Issues

Issue: You are trying to login to Velixo but you are getting an Authentication issue.
Velixo uses the standard MYOB Advanced authentication mechanisms within the product. There are no separate usernames or passwords stored within Velixo. Therefore, when dealing with this issue, we need to follow a standard troubleshooting process.

Please note that this article makes reference to both MYOB Advanced, the product you connect to directly through your browser, and Velixo, the product you connect through Microsoft Excel.

The error message would usually look like this:

Possible Solution 1: Incorrect Username, Password or Tenant
Your username and password are set directly from within MYOB Advanced. To confirm your username and password, it is the details set through the Users screen. Your MYOB Advanced administrator will be able to help you with this.

To confirm the Tenant, you can find this from the dropdown in the top right of your MYOB Advanced screen. Your MYOB Advanced administrator would be able to help you with this.

Possible Solution 2: Using the Incorrect Login Mechanism
When logging into MYOB Advanced directly through your browser, there are two possible login mechanisms that could be setup by your MYOB Advanced administrator:
  1. Using the standard Username and Password OR
  2. Using the Secure Authentication method.
Both of these different login mechanisms setup by your MYOB Advanced administrator could have different passwords, but often they are set up with the same one. If you use the Secure Authentication method as per the screenshot below, you will need to using the SSO login method when connecting through Velixo.

The below screenshot shows the button that confirms you use the Secure Authentication method. Please make note of the type of authentication method you use to sign into MYOB Advanced through your browser (e.g. an address such as https://alch-test.myobadvanced.com).

If you use this method (the Secure Authentication method), you are required to use the SSO login through the Velixo Connection Manager pictured below.

If that button does not appear, see the next section solution.

Possible Solution 3: SSO button is not visible
If this button does not appear, a customisation needs to be published to your MYOB Advanced by your Administrator.
