Issue

Users are receiving the error “An unexpected error occurred: An item with the same key has already been added. Would you like to view this error details? An item with the same key has already been added.” when creating a new layout using the Financial Genie Report or Financial Report Designer reports.

An item with the same key has already been added.

Symptoms

When users are creating or generating a new layout using BI Tools within Excel, users are receiving the above mentioned error.

When users click on BI Tools, and then click on “Quick Generate”





Select the required layout



The following error will appear, click on yes.




Then click on OK.


Resolution

There are duplicate keys added on your "Sheet 1." 

Please make sure that there are no keys added or accounts added that duplicate anything else.
